Khorfakkan is the largest coastal city on the eastern coast of the Emirate of Sharjah. It is a wonderful city characterized by its picturesque nature, distinctive sandy coast, and mountains that surround it from most of its sides. This makes it characterized by many natural attractions and recreational activities. Visitors and tourists called it the bride of the eastern coast of the UAE.
Khorfakkan is located 137 km east of Sharjah, midway between Dibba and Fujairah, on the magnificent Gulf of Oman. It is about 20 km from the Emirate of Fujairah. It was named by this name because it is a creek in the form of two mountains surrounding it, and they represent a fortress for it from air and wind influences, and it is said that the traveler Ibn Battuta is the one who gave it this name.
The port of Khorfakkan is one of the most important strategic natural ports, and it is one of the main ports and seaports of the UAE on the Gulf of Oman. This port is also the main port of the Emirate of Sharjah, as it attracts many commercial ships, goods and passenger ships, and constitutes a great source of income for the Emirate of Sharjah.

- The charming corniche that extends along the city, all parts of which are covered by green trees.
- Al-Rafisah Dam, where visitors can spend a wonderful time in the rest house, which includes many tourist services on the bank of the dam.
- The Cloud Break is a tourist destination and recreational area in one of the mountain peaks surrounding Khorfakkan, which allows enjoying imaginary scenes of the city of Khorfakkan.
- Khorfakkan runway, which is characterized by its Roman character mixed with Islamic designs rich in its details and elements.
- Khorfakkan waterfalls carved into the natural rocks to simulate the landscape of natural waterfalls.
- Shis Garden on the Sharjah-Khorfakkan road in the Shis mountain area, which welcomes its visitors with a stunning artificial waterfall.
- Oceanic Khorfakkan Resort & Spa, which is located at the northern end, and includes a private beach, outdoor swimming pools, a diving center and water sports.
